Geoff Jones' website

Welcome to the website of Geoff Jones Motorsport.

Run by former Nissan and Proton works driver Geoff Jones, and with a close relationship to Prodrive, this small Machynlleth based rally preparation company is your one stop shop to professional and yet friendly rallying.

From arrive and drive packages to basic between event car preparation Geoff and his band of experienced mechanics have a wealth of experience to choose from.

Despite the world wide economic downturn Geoff Jones Motorsport will continue to maintain a strong presence in a number of rally championships countrywide, and the distinctive white vans with the instantly recognisable blue and yellow GJM blaze will continue to be a part of most service areas, so feel free to pop in for a cup of coffee

2009 sees Chris Gash (ex Neville Jones Subaru N10) and Phil Brown (Subaru N11 - the famous ATX) contesting a selection of Welsh National and Clubman Championship events as both drivers get used to their new steeds

Geoff Jones Motorsport will also continue to run Paul Griffiths in his ‘Rothmans look-a-like
Group 4 Mk II Escort in selected rounds of the Historic Championship. Paul suffered early problems on the 2008 Roger Albert Clark, but once he got going he set a string of fastest stage times, beating the likes of Martin McCormack and Malcolm Wilson as he entertained the crowds!

The British Rally Championship sees a number of Geoff Jones Motorsport run and prepared cars competing in the series this year. Rob Swann will return in his Subaru Impreza N14 and will be hoping that lessons learnt in 2008 will help him in his quest for BRC glory. Karl and Guy Simmons will also return for a selection of their favourite events, and begin the season in their Subaru Impreza N12, but are contemplating upgrading to a newer car later in the season.

Having gotten to grips with his new (ex Rob Swann) Impreza N12, Neville Jones will also begin the British Rally Championship, after developing a taste for recce’d events when he contested last years Wales Rally GB. Neville will also take in the majority of the Welsh rallies as possible.

After finishing second in the C2R2 Championship in his inaugural year, Welshman Andrew Hockridge has upgraded to a brand new C2R2 Max which will be prepared by GJM throughout
the year.

On top of this Geoff will continue with his driver tuition and test and development work. Whilst former pupil Conrad Rautenbach makes his mark on the World Rally Championship, Geoff will continue to help develop young talent within the UK and is following the inaugural Junior Rally Series with interest.
